March Activator Cohort Training

What is an Activator?
Activators are impact ambassadors who are knowledgeable about how skills-based practices and tools can be put to work in an organization for specific roles. The Activator approach empowers individuals to support peers, employers, and partners in taking actionable steps to talent management and hiring practices. Activators will develop content expertise through updated digital self-paced Skillful Talent Series courses, as well as existing Alliance resources and tools such as Hiring Toolkits. They will receive customized training and support through workshops that focus on the adoption, implementation, and measurement of skills-based practices.

Who should attend an Activator Cohort Training?
• Those who attended prior Skillful Talent Series Workshops and want to build upon your expertise
• Anyone who directly works with and supports employers in your community

Activator Cohort Training Objectives:
• Learn how to engage employers to adopt skills-based practices that meet your communities’ needs
• Update employer job postings to be skills-based
• Learn inclusive skills-based talent management strategies and implementation using Rework America Alliance tools and resources including updated E-learning modules

Activator Cohort Training Registrant Expectations:
• All registrants must complete the updated E-learning Modules of the Skillful Talent Series (e-STS) courses Attract the Right Talent and Candidate Evaluation prior to attending the first session date.
• Attend all three Activator Cohort Training hosted via Zoom; each session is a three-hour time commitment.
